Ob als trauriger Clown oder reimender Gärtner, Scheibsta war von Anfang an einer der wohl talentiertesten österreichischen Geschichtenerzähler am Mic. Jahre nach seinem Debut “Die Reime des jungen Gärtners” meldet er sich nun mit einem neuen Projekt zurück. Mit dabei ist dieses Mal Dyzma, der für den kompletten Produktionsprozess, von den ersten Beatskizzen über sämtliche Aufnahmen bis hin zum fertigen Master verantwortlich ist.

Das Konzept dahinter könnte Scheibsta’s Leidenschaft Bilder in Reimen zu malen nicht besser entsprechen und ist dabei so simpel wie effektiv: 3 Menschen, erzählen aus ihrem Leben. Es sind nur kurze Episoden, Momentaufnahmen dreier Silhouetten, die Scheibsta in seinen Texten skizziert. Der musikalische Unterbau von Dyzma bietet viel Platz für Lyrics ohne dabei je in den Hintergrund zu geraten. Im Gegenteil: Die Mischung aus elektronischen Elementen, Samples und live Musikern geht mit der Stimme Scheibstas eine harmonische Symbiose ein. Boombap wunderkind Swede:art (Joachim Prügl) from Bavaria has one foot deeply sunk in 90’s r’n’b and hip hop grooves and the other dropping down a pixellated pathway to the future. As a DJ he roams wide pastures between dubstep, wonky hiphop and broken beat, while as a producer he farms out beats of the 90 bpm variety and upwards. His creations have gained him a reputation in different scenes near and wide, his tracks being spun by techno, dubstep and hip hop djs in the likes of Laurent Garnier, King Britt, Jay Scarlett, Jenna G (BBC Radio1Xtra).
Swede:art already had a great start to 2010 after participating at Red Bull Music Academy and coproducing with Hudson Mohawke, Tokimonsta and others. This summer his highly anticipated debut album Emotional Colors will drop on Tokyo Dawn Records including special guest appearances from Blaktroniks, Caits Meissner, Comfort Fit, Duktus, Pursuit Grooves, Stray and others.
Songs about sex on the airplane, robots, eternal life, linguistics and space rides are only the start.
Influences from techno avantgarde and 90s hiphop melt into unorthodox funk, subbass staccatos, saw tooth wave attacks, bleep action in slow motion and more diabolic ingredients. In short, ‘Emotional Colors’ is a must for the passionate space traveler.
